The kids in this generation have their own way of showing who they are; probably far more than kids in previous eras.  Even at a young age they know how to express themselves, and start developing their identity based on what they see about them on TV, in shops and all the marketing messages that inundate our society.

Gaining independence is very important in a child’s development, and fashion or clothes are some of the things they usually want to decide on for themselves. Today’s kids are inundated with messages from high-tech media, but they will still identify themselves with and be attracted to kids mannequins if they are created and displayed well.  As well as associating a display with the opinion leaders and movie characters that kids are attracted to, the mannequins can be set up to project attitude, a nice sense of style and give an impression of independence.  This can really help the parents get approval from their children to wear the clothes that are on display.  The mannequins present the kids with a picture of what they want to be, which makes it easier for the parents to dress them in clothes that the parents know are suitable.
